Kings of the Trail #003

Happy Friday everyone…Here's to an adventurous and exciting weekend ahead!

An important (and sometimes neglected) element of trail running and hiking is being able to understand basic wayfinding methods when out in the wild to help navigate your desired route. We have a brilliant article that covers the skills, techniques and technology to help you get back safely every time. We also focus on techniques to help improve your trail running speed and look at some of the real benefits running can bring for mental health in addition to the well-known physical benefits.

Please follow our social channels and share this newsletter with anyone that you think may be interested!

More to come next week, but for now, enjoy this week's edition, be safe and enjoy the trails…

Time to update your skills, learn new methods and check out some of the best wayfinding technologies – all to help navigate the trails safely and smoothly.

Looking to outrun the competition, scale new heights or just pick up some training tips, plenty here to help.

The technology is moving fast and we may soon have robot guides, mountain rescue aides and much more.

During lockdown running and hitting the trails became an important release and escape for many, myself included, it's not just about being physically healthily.

Each week we will update our Kings of the Trail playlist with a new selection – just like trail runs or hikes, you can be sure that it will be a varied and eclectic journey, but hopefully there will be something for everyone.

This week's selection is one for the times when you need to sit back, put your tired legs up and breathe. Duelling guitars weave in and out of this compelling and expansive sound. Rolling Stone hit the nail on the head when it said: “It’s music that sings without needing a singer, that’s lyrical without needing words. That’s by design.” Listen on Apple Music Listen on Spotify

Hitting the trails is hard work and recovery is an important part of any training programme, so how about sitting back and taking a few moments to enjoy these fun links?
