Kings of the Trail #009

It’s an exciting week for me – not only am I launching a slightly new look for the newsletter (hope you like it – you can react below), but I am also heading out for my first proper hiking adventure on the trails this year!
If you are still unsure about whether getting out and running on the trails is for you, then check out the first article with a few reasons that may help convince you to go for it…I think you will be glad you did!
In addition, there are some great practical tips on how to safely and quickly descend once you have enjoyed the views from the top of whatever obstacle you overcome and the last two articles this week cover some excellent kit for your next camping adventure, as well as the best places to see one of the world’s greatest natural phenomena.
As always, please follow our social channels and share this newsletter with anyone that you think may be interested.
More to come next week, but for now, enjoy this week's edition, be safe and enjoy the trails…

I love the chance to hit the trails and switch the concrete jungle for running on the varied surfaces out in the wild, but if you’re not convinced here are a few reasons to get out and do it!

You train for the uphills (dreaded hill sprints anyone?) but it’s often more fun on the descent, but what is the best way to do it as safely & quickly as possible?

35 excellent kit items to consider for this summer’s adventures, from essentials to some great extras to make your experience all the better.

This is one experience firmly on my bucket list and if you’re wondering where to go to get the best view of this incredible natural event, here are some ideas.

Each week I update the Kings of the Trail playlist with a new selection – just like trail runs or hikes, you can be sure that it will be a varied and eclectic journey, but hopefully, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Spring brings with it a chance to slow down, lift your head up and appreciate and enjoy the natural world surrounding you. A moment to take a breath and witness life sprouting from the gloom. For me, this track exemplifies this feeling, a light breezy instrumental jazz track with a beat that provides drive and flow, punctuated with added bursts of energy, much like spring rains that can catch you out!
