Kings of the Trail #011

Happy Friday and welcome this week’s Kings of the Trail. Spring, here in the northern hemisphere, has brought a renewed sense of hope and optimism that extends beyond the flowers in your garden, the trees along your favourite hike or the relief of having to wear less when out running!
It is also a great time to start getting out and exploring – whether running or hiking – so I have some articles examining myths about running and some top hacks for longer trail runs. Keeping your joints up to the task for longer hikes and runs is covered in our third article and finally, if you just want a break that can connect you to nature or help you find yourself, then there are some great ideas for wellness trips too.
As always, please follow our social channels and share this newsletter with anyone that you think may be interested.
More to come next week, but for now, enjoy this week's edition, be safe and enjoy the trails…

Some insider tips and advice before you venture out on your next trail run…setting a timer to eat is one that I am going to incorporate during longer runs.

That doesn’t mean all of it is right…for both those new to running or long-time regular runners, there are plenty of common and widely held ideas that can be easily dispelled…

This short workout routine will help strengthen your joints for the extra stability and endurance required when hiking or trail running.

Maybe you are looking for a break that involves more than just chilling by the pool, but nothing too strenuous, of course…then these wellness trips could be your answer…

Each week I update the Kings of the Trail playlist with a new selection – just like trail runs or hikes, you can be sure that it will be a varied and eclectic journey, but hopefully, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
Certainly keeping up with the spring vibes with this one…this track is more of a straight pop cut than I would usually listen to, but the great solid beat and a cheeky hook help to get you in the groove and help bring a smile when out running…a track that brings sunshine and a sense of levity and fun. I think we can all do with some of that!
