No matter the challenges ahead of us, be they in life or out on the trails, there is a need for perseverance, resilience and the ability to keep moving forward. As the Stoics would say; “the obstacle is the way.” It’s a skill and ability that can be developed and trained as many incredible adventurers and athletes have proven. One approach that can help is to reframe our perspective on the difficulties and obstacles faced. Rather than perceiving them as burdens to be avoided or escaped, we should view them as opportunities for growth and self-improvement. It’s through the journey, the struggle and the process of overcoming that we may find our true potential and ultimately discover something new about ourselves along the way…
