"I believe in the impossible because no one else does and that gives me an excellent chance at accomplishing it.”

Florence Griffith Joyner

The concept of the impossible is only valid until it’s proven to be false. This has been true throughout time and we humans are constantly showing that impossible does not need to remain that way…there are many examples of this - I’m sure you can think of a few yourself…the 4-minute mile, the sub 2-hour marathon…climbing Everest without oxygen, even climbing Everest at all! The list goes on and on. The question is: what is your impossible and how will you make it possible? It doesn’t have to be something monumental or something that has never been done before, far from it. It has more impact for you personally when it is something that seems impossible to you…running 5km, running a marathon or tackling an ultramarathon, hiking to the top of that hill near you…find your impossible and make it history like so much else has been in the past…

Until next week, be safe and enjoy the trails...

Each week, I update the Kings of the Trail playlist with a new selection of music. Like trail runs or hikes, the playlist will be varied and eclectic, but hopefully, there will be something for everyone to enjoy…

Stepping up the beat after last week’s funk number. This delightfully smooth tune has tinges of old school garage, but is a strangely delicate and yet still solidly head nod worthy at the same time…it most certainly works for me…
