"If you're having fun, that's when the best memories are built.”

Simone Biles

I have been trying to think of any other words that contain so few letters, but can mean such a wide range of different things to each and every person on the planet as the word, fun. What is engrossing, satisfying fun for one person could be the very idea of boring as hell for others. It is a totally subjective word that has a completely personal interpretation for each of us. Does that matter? Of course not, in fact, that is where the magic lies. That rich tapestry of human diversity is perfectly natural and should be celebrated. When you find out what fun means for you, feast on it, enjoy it and do it in the best possible way to the highest of your abilities…(unless it is an unhealthy pastime in which case, please apply some moderation!) It can take time to find your flavour of fun, but through experimentation, courage and an open mind, you can find what gives you that thrill and excitement and use it for personal growth and self-discovery…

Until next week, be safe and enjoy the trails...

Kilian Journet is going to have a lot of ‘fun’. Any day, he will begin his adventure to summit 67 peaks over 14,000’ in the Western US, oh, and he will cycle in between each one…

Many people find the joy and benefits of sport later in life. That can make it all the sweeter, which is certainly true for this writer…

You can’t stick them in the mud and watch them grow like plants, but being outside is incredible for children’s brain growth…

LA is a sprawling and hectic place, but that means more places to explore and more fun waiting to be found…

Each week, I update the Kings of the Trail playlist with a new selection of music. Like trail runs or hikes, the playlist will be varied and eclectic, but hopefully, there will be something for everyone to enjoy…

There are many reasons to love this track…but here are a couple: firstly, it’s a lot of fun! The sound is lively and a bit chaotic (described as dance-punk), but it has brilliant energy. Secondly, they have cited Mark Rothko as an inspiration behind some of their work…that seals it for me…so read no more and get listening…
