“The Difficult is that which can be done immediately; the Impossible that which takes a little longer.”

George Santayana

The beauty of this quote is how you can change words to apply it to your current situation and it still works. Replace ‘difficult’ with ‘straightforward’ and ‘Impossible’ with ‘complex’ and the message is the same. Replace ‘difficult’ with ‘short run’ and ‘Impossible’ with ‘marathon’ and it has the same impact. So for now, maybe you don’t need to worry about achieving the impossible. Start with what is in front of you and do it with consistency and commitment. After a couple of slower, more relaxed weeks, that is my focus over the coming weeks - building up a regular exercise routine and the mental strength to face the challenging moments when they invariably arrive…

Until next week, be safe and enjoy the trails...

Each week, I update the Kings of the Trail playlist with a new selection of music. Like trail runs or hikes, the playlist will be varied and eclectic, but hopefully, there will be something for everyone to enjoy…

After the more laid-back approach of the last couple of weeks, we are picking things up again with a slow burn but a deep beat and brooding track. This is one for when you need to dig a little deep to keep moving!
