I read a comment recently that said something along the lines of ‘a loser is closer to the winner than the person who doesn’t try.’ I find this a very interesting perspective and one that deserves further exploration. It’s easy to stay on the sidelines. It’s easy to watch others try and comment from a distance. It’s easy to be an armchair critic and dissect others’ attempts, whether they be successes or failures, but where is the growth in that? As the quote this week tells us, failures are merely setting you up for what’s next - within them are opportunities to learn, develop, adapt, and overcome, but to be able to receive that powerful information and feedback, you have to try. This outlook relates to life in general, not just in the sporting world. Being courageous and taking the chances to put yourself out there in life can result in the biggest occasions to flourish and develop - if you use them right and maintain an essential mindset of continual learning and growth, whatever the outcome...
